Le Labo launched in 2006 in New York City by founders Edouard Roschi and Fabrice Penot, who were dissatisfied with the conventional perfume market and sought to create a unique, artisanal brand. Their first lab opened in Nolita, New York.
The brand's initial launch focused on creating exceptional, unisex fragrances with a distinct lab-like experience where each perfume is hand-blended and labeled on-site.
